[Eddie bounces on to camera. He looks just like the icon. Except he's got a black and white barcode down his spine, complete with numbers. This rabbit looks exceptionally excited.]

The barcode! [Much to Eddie's misfortune, he's only understandable to other animals. To anyone else, it's just rabbit noise.] Take a picture of the barcode!

I'm the Last Rabbit! Best flood ever.

[pause]

Wait. The Last Rabbit's a girl.

[quick! Change the subject!]

Victor? You alright?

Jane?

[Eddie followed along, much more slowly, but looked up at the lift. Everything was so much more intimdiating from down here.]

How are we going to call it? Or get it to go anywhere?

[Jane paused, trying for a moment to push her hooves up against it. It took a bit of fumbling, but she finally hit the right button.]

Just like that. [There was no mistaking the hint of arrogance there.]

[He would have rolled his eyes if he could.]

Ah, so simple. If you're a bouncing goat, perhaps.

...if only people at home could see this. [She headed inside when the doors opened and waited for him.]

[Eddie laughed and jumped inside,] The lift, or us as these animals? Because I imagine they'd mostly just laugh at the latter.

A lot.

The latter. [She stared at the panel thoughtfully (if a bouncing goat could be thoughtful) and jabbed a hoof at it.] That should get us...somewhere.

[He huddled in a corner of the lift and scratched at his ears a little,] Somewhere. Better than here?

[pause]

Jane. I'm a girl. [He still couldn't quite get past this.]

[Jane also wished she could roll her eyes.]

Yes, well, you did announce it to everyone. [She waited and, when the doors opened to a floor they didn't want, she jabbed at the panel again.]

So it's your fault if you're embarrassed.

[If a rabbit could shrug...]

But it's still a serious point. I'm a woman!

It's not serious at all. [She fixed him with a long look.]

Is there something wrong with that?

[He shrugged,] Nothing really wrong with it.

It's just weird. If you're me.

If you're you. [The doors opened again and she hopped out.]

How do you plan on unlocking the door?

[He had been clutching his merit book between his paws, and then held it up in his mouth, mumbling a little,] Take my item!

[She leaned down, keeping the book between her hooves and then bringing it into her mouth. It took some maneuvering, but she managed to unlock the door and open it before she dropped the merit book on a rock.]

There. The CES.

[He grabbed the item between his teeth and hopped off into the CES,] Definite improvement right here.

I thought so. [She bounded off a bit and turned back to him.]

Put that somewhere safe or you'll drop it.

Don't suppose you have a pouch, do you?

[She checked.]

No. Wait. There's a hole in the tree that I can use.

Sounds like a good idea. [He held the merit book up in his mouth.]

[She took it and dropped it into the hole. It stuck out slightly.]

I had a very odd urge to hide it, though. [She bounded away just to come back.]

[Eddie looked up at her curious,] Oh? Is that something bouncing goats do as a habit?

They're mischievous. [She smiled with her eyes, already feeling better now that they were out.]

So...that's where that came from.

And now I see how it's appropriate.

Come on, Eddie. [She bounced back once and looked down to him.]

You were enjoying it earlier.
