Except, Una, everyone at home accepts things calmly and thinks they're absolutely normal.
If you don't know anything else, that's what you do. And why it's quite frustrating, in a sense for people like him, me and Jane, to turn up here and have the Previous constantly say 'but that's horrific'. It's good to have it reaffirmed in a way, but the longer you spend here, the more you realise how... how all those things you accepted calmly and normally are actually really unsettling to other people.
